Esperienza bellissima poco fuori da Marrakech. Abbiamo rapidamente raggiunto il laboratorio dove si svolge il workshop e qui ci è stato insegnato il processo per la realizzazione dei mosaici (cottura, taglio e disposizione delle tessere). Beautiful experience just outside of Marrakech. We quickly reached the laboratory where the workshop takes place and here we were taught the process for making mosaics (firing, cutting and arranging the tiles). Abdel was punctual, friendly and professional when he picked us up and took us to our mosaics workshop. We really liked where the workshop was located and the person teaching us was clearly a master craftsperson! All in all it was a lovely experience. We only wish we could’ve laid out our design and colours before committing to them, but that’s a small thing that didn’t take away from our experience!

Great and timely pick up by Mouad and then a detailed explanation of process in making tiles and baking them, cutting them and placing them. We got to cut our own tiles under watchful eye of lovely host Assidik. We left with a beautiful homemade crafted tile. Fun and something different to do in Marrakech!

Muy linda actividad! Nos pasó a buscar Othman por el riad y nos llevó a las afueras de la ciudad donde se encuentra el taller. Othman fue nuestro traductor para comunicarnos con el profesor Sadiq, quien es un hombre con mucha dedicación y paciencia. A remarcar, la descripción de la actividad dice que es en español pero nuestro guía hablaba muy poco así que nos comunicamos con un mix de inglés y español. A very nice activity! Othman picked us up at the riad and took us to the outskirts of the city where the workshop was located. Othman acted as our translator to communicate with Professor Sadiq, a man of great dedication and patience. It's worth noting that the activity description says it's in Spanish, but our guide spoke very little, so we communicated in a mix of English and Spanish. Fantastic. Interesting to learn about the tile making process. Was able to try to make individual pieces with the tools. New appreciation for the craftsmanship. Fun explanation to creating a design. Great hands on experience with the master tile maker. Very kind man. Had additional person present to drive us to and from the experience as well as translate. One of my favorite experiences in Marrakesh! Hightly recommend.

Recogida a la hora acordada con coche nuevo y conductor muy amable. Llegada al sitio (25 min del centro) y taller con artesano local, M. Sadi, INCREÍBLE. Con gran amabilidad (y paciencia) nos ha enseñado todo el proceso de realización de un mosaico tradicional árabe y hemos podido hacer uno nosotros mismos. Casi 3 horas que han pasado volando. Picked up at the agreed time in a new car with a very friendly driver. Arriving at the site (25 minutes from the city center) and having an INCREDIBLE workshop with local artisan M. Sadi. With great kindness (and patience), he showed us the entire process of making a traditional Arabic mosaic, and we were able to make one ourselves. Almost three hours flew by. This experience was really good, it had lots of interesting information from start to finish and was really well run. It was lovely being able to make something that you can take home with you. It was also great being picked up and dropped off from our hotel as we were outside of Marraketch (Hotel Sirayane). Would highly recommend.

Súper guay!! Íbamos solas con un chofer y un traductor. El dueño del taller te enseña desde cómo sacan la arcilla hasta el último pulido de tu propio mosaico. Nos lo hemos pasado en grande con el cincel y después con los puzzles de piezas. Barato para lo que es y lo amable que son. Se tarda unos 30 minutos en coche para llegar y mejor ir en ropa cómoda y zapatos que no te importen ensuciar. La recomiendo mucho a personas que le gusten cualquier manualidad. Super cool!! We went alone with a driver and a translator. The owner of the workshop shows you everything from how they extract the clay to the final polishing of your own mosaic. We had a great time with the chisel and then with the puzzle pieces. Cheap for what it is and how friendly they are. It takes about 30 minutes by car to get there and it's better to wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. I highly recommend it to people who like any craft.
