Atlas Mountains + Paragliding Tour
On this tour of the Atlas Mountains, we'll visit the villages of this North African mountain range to learn about the Amazigh culture. We'll also fly over its peaks with this paragliding experience!
Atlas Mountains + Paragliding Tour
At your chosen time, we'll pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech to go into the rocky Atlas Mountains, the mountain range that separates the Mediterranean Sea from the Sahara Desert.
Before we get to our destination, we'll make our first stop of the day at an argan oil cooperative. Here, we'll learn all about how this popular ingredient in Moroccan food and cosmetics is produced.
Our tour will then take us to the village of Azrou, where we'll learn about the lifestyle of the Amazigh people. In addition, if you're joining us on a Tuesday or a Saturday, we'll visit one of their famous arts and crafts stalls.
Next, we'll cross the Gorges of Moulay Brahim and come to the Kik Plateau. We'll make our way up to the top of a hill so we can get everything ready for our paragliding experience over the Atlas Mountains. We'll explain some safety regulations that you'll need to follow and then it'll be time to take to the skies!
You'll spend around 20 minutes flying over the rugged landscapes of Morocco and admiring bird's eye views of the spectacular scenery.
Once we're back on land, we'll visit a typical Amazigh residence. We'll be welcomed by the people who live here, who'll share both their traditions and a delicious lunch, accompanied by drinks, with us.
The final stretch of our tour will be spent doing a 1-hour 30-minute hike around the beautiful waterfalls of Morocco's Atlas Mountains. We'll then take you back to your hotel in Marrakech and drop you off between 2:30 and 3:30 pm.
